Cogdel Cranleigh School Changsha (CCSC) is an international IB private school, jointly established by Hunan Future Group and Cogdel Education Group. Located at No.117 LixinStreet (Langli Community), Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone, the school covers an area of 124 mu with a total construction area of 84,000 square meters. It officially opened in the fall of 2020.

Rooted in the fertile soil of Hunan's education and embracing a global perspective, we integrate the national curriculum with a continuous and unified IB international education. During the nine-year compulsory education phase, we combine the national curriculum standards with the frameworks of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP), using national textbooks to facilitate transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary inquiry-based learning. As an IB PYP school officially authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (lBO), the primary section of CCSC strictly implements the national curriculum standards. It consolidates the foundation through subject learning in the national curriculum, enhances students' vision and depth of understanding with the lB trans-disciplinary inquiry curriculum as a "powerfultool", and enriches students' experiences and promotes their all-round development with the CCA curriculum.

One of the centrepieces of the IB philosophy of education is the nurturing of well-rounded individuals, with an emphasis not only on the development of students' cognitive abilities, but also on their healthy growth in many aspects, including social, emotional and physical. CCAs (Co-Curricular Activities) are an extended supplementary curriculum that help students grow outside of their main subjects. CCAs provide a process of self-improvement and discovery for children. Our school hopes to create a broad platform for students' growth through the CCA programme, and to help them further develop their interests and strengths.
Through the introduction of quality educational resources from home and abroad, the school provides students with the world's top CCA programmes, covering five categories: Science, Technology and Innovation, Visual and Performing Arts, Physical Education and Health, Integrated Creative, and Subject Extension, and including extracurricular activities, competition courses, student club activities, and other different organisational forms to create a multi-dimensional learning space where students can develop their abilities and personalities through the curriculum.
